The University Grants Commission (UGC) will hold of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 26.12.2010 (Sunday) in 77 subjects selected University Centres spread across the country for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges.
- National Eligibility Test (NET)
- Age : For Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on 01.12.2010 , For Lectureship: No upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility.
- Exam Fee : For General candidates, Rs.450/-; for OBC (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website : www.ncbc.nic.in ) Rs. 225/- and for SC/ST/PH/VH candidates, Rs. 110/-.
Last date for receiving the print out of online Application : 01.11.2010
Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the following : (i) Scanned passport (pp) size photograph in JPEG format should be less then 300kb, (ii) Copy of Bank Challan (fee receipt).
