The Director, WIHG invites applications for the under mentioned positions to be filled initially on temporarily basis in the “Centre for Glaciology at WIHG”.

1. Scientist: "C" : 04 Posts
• Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years as on 30.11.2010
• Qualification : Ph.D. in any area of the Earth Sciences with first class at Preceding degree, preferably in Glaciology with four years post doctoral experience in the field of Glaciology with good academic record & publications in reputed journals.
• Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- + Grade pay: Rs. 6600/- plus admissible allowances

2. Scientist: "B" : 04 Posts
• Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on 30.11.2010
• Qualification : 1st Class M.Sc./M.Tech /M. Phil in Geology/Earth Sciences /Hydrology /Meteorology /Physics/ Chemistry or other allied subjects
• Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- + Grade pay: Rs. 5400/- plus admissible allowances

3. Stenographer Grade-II : 01 Post
• Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on 30.11.2010
• Mode of Recruitment : Deputation
• Pay Scale : Rs. 9,300-34800 , Grade Pay `Rs. 4200/- plus admissible allowances
