1. Assistant Commandant (General Duty )
• Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 Grade Pay Rs. 5,400
• Age : Born between (01 Jul 1985 to 30 Jun 1989)
• Qualification : Bachelor's degree in any discipline of a recognised university by the Central/ State Government/ UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to 12th Std of 10+2+3 scheme of education
• Gender : Male

2. Asst Commandant (General Duty - Pilot-Navigator)
• Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 Grade Pay Rs. 5,400
• Age : Born between (01 Jul 1983 to 30 Jun 1991)
• Qualification :B.Sc with Mathematics and Physics
• Gender : Male
• Note : The Candidates failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) need not apply

3. Assistant Commandant Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holders for short service appointment
• Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 Grade Pay Rs. 5,400
• Age : Born between (01 Jul 1983 to 30 Jun 1991)
• Qualification : 12th class pass or equivalent and should possess current Commercial Pilot License (CPL) on the date of submission of application
• Gender : Male/ Female Unmarried
• Note : The Candidates failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) need not apply

4. Assistant Commandant Women (General Duty) for Short Service Appointment
• Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 Grade Pay Rs. 5,400
• Age : Born between (01 Jul 1985 to 30 Jun 89)
• Qualification : Degree of a recognised university with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or Class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent.
• Gender : Female Unmarried
• Note : The Candidates failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) need not apply

5. Deputy Commandant (Law)
• Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-
• Age : below 45 yrs as on 30.11.2009
• Qualification : i) A degree in Law with 6 years experience in legal matters. (ii) Should be qualified for enrolment as an advocate in a High Court . Desirable : (i) A post Graduate degree in Law (ii) Knowledge / Experience in Assignment connected with International Law/Maritime Law.
• Gender : Male/ Female
• Note : The Candidates failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) need not apply
