The institute invites applications for the following contractual positions in its Regional Centre in Gangtok, Sikkim:

1. Scientist (Plant Bioresources) : 01 Post
• Pay: Rs. 48,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
• Edu. Qualification : 1st class M.Sc. in Botany / Life Sciences with seventeen years experience or 1st class M.Tech. in Biotechnology with sixteen years Research and Development experience or Ph.D. or corresponding degrees in relevant disciplines with original work as evidenced by patents or publications. Evidence of leadership with sixteen years or R&D experience

2. Scientist - (Plant Bioresources) : 02 Posts
• Pay: Rs. 35,000/- pm / Rs. 30,000 p.m. (Consolidated)
• Edu. Qualification : 1st class M.Sc. in Botany / Biotechnology with five years R&D experience or Ph.D. with four years post doctoral experience in the relevant field.

3. Scientist – (Microbial Resources) : 02 Posts
• Pay: Rs. 30,000 p.m. (Consolidated)
• Edu. Qualification : 1st class M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Microbiology / Agricultural Microbiology with three years R&D experience or Ph.D. with one year post doctoral experience in the relevant field

4. Administrative Officer : 01 Post
• Pay: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
• Edu. Qualification : Graduate degree, preferably in commerce with Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Administration or Human Resource Management with a minimum of 2 years experience in handling administration and personnel matters

5. Accounts Officer : 01 Post
• Pay: Rs. 20,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
• Edu. Qualification : Graduate in Commerce with a minimum of 2 years experience of handling accounts in any organization

6. One Lab-cum-Field Attendant : 01 Post
• Pay: Rs. 8,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
• Edu. Qualification :Matriculation or equivalent
